Salford celebrates 50 days to go until Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 with ticket giveaway

Salford is counting down to one of the biggest sporting events in its history - the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025.
With just 50 days to go, excitement is building for this record-breaking tournament, set to be the biggest Women’s Rugby World Cup ever, with over 300,000 tickets already sold.
To celebrate, Salford City Council is giving residents a chance to win tickets to matches at Salford Community Stadium this August. Eight tickets are up for grabs, awarded in two sets of four - one for each match day. Tickets must be claimed as full bundles and cannot be split.
Councillor Hannah Robinson-Smith, Lead Member for Culture, Heritage, Equalities, Sports and Leisure , said:
“We can’t wait to welcome the Women’s Rugby World Cup to Salford this summer. Events like this inspire the next generation and show young girls across our city that anything is possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of sporting history right here on our doorstep. Don’t miss your chance to enter, win some tickets and support the girls!”
Salford will host four thrilling matches featuring top teams including Scotland, Wales, Canada, Australia, Samoa and Fiji.
